The last thing you would think you would need when working with Linux is a set of good references. My gosh Linux and many of its applications are Open Source - so just go to the source and any of the many forums and you are off to the races. Plenty of documentation of the best kind according to Extreme Programming adherents. The original source code with minimal comments or other documentation - "the working code is the documentation". Well, like in the those Hertz commercials, " ..Not exactly".
And in fact a cottage industry has grown up around the various Linux distributions with websites, forums, and books devoted to how to install and get the
most out of your favorite distribution. Hence we have covered 3 of these books+distributions: Debian Linux, Redhat Fedora and Suse Linux - and these books are some of the best starting references to Linux in general we have found.
